Yvonne is a bible teacher, writer, wife and mother of three grown up children and looking forward to some grandchildren!!

I grew up in a loving christian home in which faith and church were integral parts. I’m sure I had a relationship with God from a young age but it wasn’t until the age of 15 when I had a life-changing encounter with the Lord and knew for sure He existed and loved me!

Over the course of my life, like everyone, I have experienced highs and lows. Although no one likes going through hard times, they are usually what drive us to seek the Lord. That is how God uses all things - including the awful things - to work together for the good of those who love Him and are called according to His purposes (Romans 8:28). If we run to Him in our tough times, we will receive comfort and strength and be transformed – the fruit of intimacy with the Father.

And so it was that borne out of a very difficult time many years ago, I began to seek after God in a deeper way. I developed a love for studying the bible and filled as much of my time as possible learning from great bible teachers – there are so many we can access these days, but Joseph Prince, Andrew Wommack, Bill Johnson and Kris Vallotton are a few who have been influential in my faith journey. I have learned so much about the grace of God and His desire to heal us and make us whole. But ultimately God Himself and His word has been my teacher. We can learn from many excellent bible teachers and draw encouragement from other believers but ultimately it is the Lord Jesus Himself who needs to reveal His truth to us. He does that in so many different ways, but the primary way is by spending time in His presence and allowing His living word to reveal truth to you. He is the Way and the Truth and the Life. In Jesus is perfect love, joy, righteousness and peace. No one else can compare.

So come with me on a journey as we study His word in bitesize chunks. He will reveal more and more of Himself to us and transform us from glory to glory.
